Award given to the professional who has made extraordinary contributions to
player development and the growth of the game in the Pacific Northwest
Section of the PGA. The Northwest
Section includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Western Montana and
Alaska. Along with receiving the 2009 Oregon Chapter
President’s Award for the second year in a row Harold has been honored with
nominations in 2007 and 2008 for Teacher of the Year. Harold has been a member of the PGA of America
since 1981. During that time he has
served as Head Professional at several area golf courses, Head Coach of the
Portland State University Men’s Golf Team and a teacher for thousands of
area players. His students include
beginners, high school standouts, professionals and the everyday wannabe. By attending the 2008 PGA National Teaching and Coaching Summit at the PGA
Learning Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida Harold demonstrates his passion
for teaching by continuing to study the latest in instruction and learning
techniques. More
